Scott Avery co-founded Avery-Hess, Realtors with David Hess in 1992, sharing a commitment to building the best real estate salespeople in the industry. This commitment has never wavered. Now the fastest-growing real estate firm in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Avery-Hess, Realtors serves clients from Stafford County, Va. to Prince Georges County, Md., providing a level of real estate service, knowledge, and expertise that is second to none.

A real estate industry veteran since 1977, Scott has a long and varied career. From sales management to development, training, marketing and more, Scott has been a featured speaker and trainer in a variety of industry topics throughout his career. He also has authored courses on communication as a sales tool, financial applications in branch management, building and developing a sales career, recruiting, the successful interview, and more.

At the Academy, Scott teaches the Rising Star Sessions, which provide agents with the opportunity for roundtable discussion with the President of the company. This time is meant for students who have joined Avery-Hess, Realtors to spend a morning asking questions, sharing ideas, and listening to insights for achieving a successful career in real estate.

Outside of the classroom, Scott has served as a real estate industry spokesman for the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) and as a panelist for industry trade shows. Scott's insight into the real estate industry is invaluable in helping Avery-Hess, Realtors grow as a company, and his ability to pass this insight along to students at the Academy is invaluable.

A lifelong resident of Virginia, Scott currently resides in McLean, and has one son, Matthew.
