Charlie received his license in 1993 and together with his wife, Vickie, established one of the leading real estate teams in Northern Virginia.  His knowledge of the constantly changing real estate market has served him well, consistently earning him top honors with the Prince William Association of Realtors, including Life Member, Top Producer’s Club. In 2001 he received his Brokers license.

Prior to his distinguished real estate career, Charlie spent 20 years in hotel and resort management, including resident manager at one of the world’s leading resorts in the Colorado Rockies. He has been an instructor for the Metropolitan Police Academy in Washington, D.C., and certified as an instructor for the American Hotel & Motel Association.

At the Academy, Charlie teaches the Principles of Real Estate class providing students with pre-licensing education. His style of integrating real life situations with textbook specifics offers students practical solutions and prepares them for real world applications.

When he is not managing the Avery-Hess Springfield office or teaching, Charlie enjoys traveling with his wife Vickie, spending time on their boat on the Chesapeake Bay, singing with the Barbershop Harmony Society, and golfing.  He has 4 children and 3 wonderful grandchildren.
