Avery-Hess Academy of Real Estate Allan Marteney started the Avery-Hess Academy of Real Estate in the fall of 2004, relying on his experience instructing in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC, as well as his expertise in developing courses for state approval. A native of the Washington, DC metro region, and licensed as an agent since 1978, Allan has an intimate knowledge of the local real estate industry.
At the Academy, Allan oversees the school, course development, and success of students. He teaches pre- and post-license courses, as well as conducts various workshops specifically for Avery-Hess, Realtors agents.
Outside of the classroom, Allan has owned and operated a DC area real estate firm, as well as received numerous industry awards and recognition. He is also a real estate reviewer for a major publishing company, lending him further insight into the field.
Allan is a member of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA), holds the professional designation GRI from the Graduate Realtors Institute, and is a member of numerous real estate associations at both the national and state level, inclusing the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR), to name a few.
